Hello, You are bidding on to buy a LHD 1958 Club Victoria Ford Fairlane. I have started the bidding VERY low, if you do not have the funds to purchase please do not waste everybody’s time. I imported it myself from California earlier this year after seeing it online. It is the Interceptor Special, sometimes referred to as the Police Interceptor. It is the 352 cubic inch Ford FE Big Block Motor. OHV – 4V Carb 300hp Power Option. It is a Factory, Raven Black, two-door Hard Top, three-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic. I think it is in amazing condition for an un-restored, original condition, 57 year old car. I also think it amazing that until November 2014 it was a one-owner car, which explains why it is in such good condition. It is pretty cool to know the history of the Fairlane, which I have and will add after the listing has gone up. The car is not perfect, it is original, un-restored condition, so it does have some cosmetic “lumps and bumps”, but it’s complete, registered, running, driving, a joy to go cruising in, and fantastic on the highway. It has been register and driving in Australia since the 4 th September 2015 The Good. Fulcrum Suspensions at Yeerongpilly have gone through the underside of the Fairlane and replaced, repaired, fixed all that it needed. Receipts / itemised $3000 Bob Grant Automatics has inspected the automatic, serviced it, and reports no issue with it. Auto Carbs Automotive rebuilt the carby, tuned up, repaired and replaced fuel an ignition components, and transformed the performance of the engine. Auto Stop at Salisbury did a Carbon Clean for the internals of the motor. The (only) Bad. The Fairlane only has 91 609 miles on the clock, but Larry J, the original owner was 92 years old when he sold the Fairlane, so for probably the last 20 years the Fairlane has only had short trips or just regular stationary running. I have been told with the Carbon Cleaning, oil changes, and a lot more driving to blow out all the carbon build up, the blowing smoke issue may improve. So at times a bit of oil smoke on start up, and a bit out the left (driver side) exhaust when driving.
